Release of Orinj version 2.6.0

mic, 2016 07 03: Orinj version 2.6.0 was uploaded to this site on July 2, 2016. Frankly, we did not plan to upload a new version so soon, but the first two of the fixes that are listed below were significant and had to be put up as soon as possible. The changes were as follows.

  • We discovered a problem, where the playback and recording would not actually stop properly and Orinj would continue to use the computer processor. This is now corrected and Orinj should use processor time only as appropriate.
  • The toolbar at the bottom of Orinj with the buttons for zooming in and out was half hidden, because of the new skins. This is now also fixed.
  • We corrected an error, because of which if the user pressed the rewind to start button and then attempted to mix the session, the mixing would never stop, as the mixer would continue to rewind the session to the start.
  • We made a minor change in the mixing during playback to speed it up.

Version 2.6.0 is a stable version, at least for anything that goes on in the multitrack session. As before, we are testing changes to Orinj in preparation for version 3. We are continuing testing in other views as well.
