mic, 2016 12 08: We are validating the effect and language XML files against the relevant XML schemas. The effect XML files are part of the Orinj effect packages and are embedded in the effect package JAR files. The language XML files reside in the languages folder of the Orinj installation. The schemas reside in http://www.recordingblogs.com/rbdocs/xml (orinjeffect.xsd and oringlang.xsd respectively).

In most cases, validation errors resulted in changes to the schema itself, rather than the XML file. The XML files were already appropriately designed and there will be minimal changes to Orinj. However, we are removing target namespaces from both the schemas and the XML files.

Because of these changes, we are also updating ExampleDelay on this site – the example effect package that shows developers how to design effects for Orinj.
